Mental Health Resources

The uncertainty and disruption to our normal routines that we are currently facing because of COVID-19 can have a major impact on mental health.  Increased feelings of stress, anxiety, irritability, and isolation are common.  It is important to recognize the signs of stress in ourselves and others so we may take steps to reduce the impact.

Below is the link to a guide on handling the stress of a national health crisis from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA).  This guide provides both the signs of stress and healthy coping skills that can be used to help.

If you feel that you are experiencing distress and need to talk with a professional, please remember that we have mental health counselors on staff who would be glad to talk with you or help you find resources.  If you have any mental health questions or concerns, you mail either of them.

There has also been a google Classroom where there will be mental health resources and coping skills posted.  The code to join that classroom is yikmfbh.  Please let us know if we can help in any other way!
