SAVE THE DATE: Dual Credit Workshop for Parents


SAVE THE DATE!!!

Marshall County High School will host a Dual Credit Parent Workshop on Thursday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the MCHS Cafeteria.  

Current sophomores and juniors who registered for a dual credit class for the 19-20 school year should attend.  This includes Thoroughbred Academy, Racer Academy, College English 101/102, College Algebra and online courses through WKCTC.

Representatives from Murray State University and West Kentucky Community and Technical College will be on hand to discuss their programs and opportunities.

Dual credit policies will be discussed.

UPDATE: ACT Prep Workshop information


ACT Prep Workshop
$300   Spring Break   April 1- 4
The Workshop:  The 16-hour workshop is open to all students from all schools in the area. Students will not only review the subject matter, but will also learn ACT-specific test-taking strategies.  The instructors will teach the different types of questions the ACT uses, methods for handling difficult questions, and tips for dealing with tight time limits. 

Workshop Instructors:      
Shawn Baldwin, B.S., M.A. will teach the Math and Science sessions
  Former teacher at Graves County Middle School
  Math tutor 10 years
  Scored 35 on ACT, including 36 on both Math and Science sections

  Kelly King Walden, M.A. in English, will teach the English and Reading sessions
  ACT tutor for 12 years
  Former English teacher at University of Alabama and WKCTC

Location: Heartland Worship Center and Lowes Elementary
April 1 and 2 are at Heartland Worship Center in Paducah
April 3 and 4 are at Lowes Elementary in Graves Co.
Both locations run from 10:00-3:00 each day with a one hour break for lunch.

Cost: $300 for all sessions. Participants must bring a calculator for math sessions.
Scholarships are available by counselor referral.

Registering for AP exams


This message is for students enrolled in an AP (Advanced Placement) course.

Students taking AP exams at Marshall County High School must register for exams at https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/180200 by March 15!

For the 2019 AP Exams, the cost is $94 per exam.

Please note that registrations occurring in the late window of March 16-20 will incur an additional $20 charge per registration.

ALL registrations made after 12:01 AM on Saturday, Mar 16, 2019 will incur a $20 late fee per registration. The late window closes on March 20. 

Registrations that are not paid (and received by Total Registration) by 11:59 PM, Saturday, Mar 23, 2019 will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.
