Workshop

The Workshop: The 16-hour workshop is open to all students from all
schools in the area. Students will not only review the subject matter, but will
also learn ACT-specific test-taking strategies.
The instructors will teach the different types of questions the ACT
uses, methods for handling difficult questions, and tips for dealing with tight
time limits.
Workshop Instructors:
Shawn Baldwin, B.S., M.A.
will teach the Math and Science sessions
• Former
teacher at Graves County Middle School
• Math tutor 10 years
• Scored 35 on ACT, including 36 on both Math and
Science sections
• Kelly King
Walden, M.A. in English, will teach
the English and Reading sessions
• ACT tutor for 12 years
• Former English teacher at University of Alabama and
WKCTC
Location: Heartland Worship Center and Lowes Elementary
April 1 and 2 are at Heartland
Worship Center in Paducah
April 3 and 4 are at Lowes
Elementary in Graves Co.
Both locations run from
10:00-3:00 each day with a one hour break for lunch.
Cost: $300 for all sessions. Participants
must bring a calculator for math sessions.
Scholarships are available by
counselor referral.
