Death By Chocolate

The student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at the University of Kentucky, Paducah Campus is excited to invite you to their  6th annual Death by Chocolate event on October 24th from 6:00-7:30 PM.  All high school students, parents, and educators are welcome.

Death By Chocolate is hosted by SWE with the goal of informing young women about their potential for a STEM career.  They want young girls to know that engineering is not just for men, but that women excel in engineering and other STEM majors.

At this event, they celebrate women in STEM by starting off with a deluxe chocolate buffet! This buffet is full of chocolate and non-chocolate dessert items with options for as many dietary restrictions as we can make. Their club members will speak to students in an open dining setting while everyone eats their dessert.  Then, you will head to the auditorium to hear our keynote speaker, Alex Carr, give a presentation on her journey as a woman in the engineering field. A student panel will be open for questions after our keynote presentation.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact the SWE President, Olivia Parker Hawthorne.
