ACT Prep Workshops
Sessions
May 27-30 or June 2-3 & 12-13 or June 30 - July 3
The workshop: The 16-hour workshops is open to all students from all schools.
Students will not only review the subject matter, but will also learn ACT-specific
test-taking strategies. The instructors will teach the different types of questions
the ACT uses, methods for handling difficult questions, and tips for dealing with
tight time limits.
Workshop Instructors
Kelly King Walden, M.A., will teach the English and Reading sections.
Kaylin Mannon, B.A. Math Certified, will teach the Math and Science sections.
Location: Reidland Church of Christ Annex, 5500 Kentucky Dam Road
Time: 10 AM to 3 PM each day, with lunch break from 12:00-1:00
Cost: $300 for each 4-day session. Scholarships available by counselor referral.

What will JAG students do?
Ethan Morgan and Jackson Miller - Marshall County High School alumnis - will be on campus on Wednesday, March 19 to speak to all of our Health Science Classes. They have blocked off an hour for a presentation with current sophomores and juniors to discuss their experiences, which includes leaving MCHS, going to college, getting involved, and what that can do for you and your future. They have a presentation entitled "Why College?" and would love to share with interested students.

The ASVAB is being given at MCHS on Monday, March 31. The ASVAB is offered to high school and post-secondary students as part of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program. The program provides tools to help students learn more about career exploration and planning, in both the civilian and military worlds of work.
If you would like to take the ASVAB, please scan the QR code located outside any of the school couneslors' offices. If you have any questions, see Ms. Jackson or Mr. Cofield in the 1600 hallway.
